These terms govern your use of PetFoodRate. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What PetFoodRate is
PetFoodRate is an independent international pet food rating service. We score every product from A to E based on ingredient composition, nutrition balance, undesirables, transparency, and species adaptability. We are not a veterinary practice, a food manufacturer, or a marketplace.
Not medical advice
The content on PetFoodRate is informational only. It is not a substitute for veterinary advice. For medical decisions about your pet's diet or health, always consult a licensed veterinarian.
Accuracy of scores
We work hard to keep our scoring accurate and up to date. That said, pet food manufacturers change formulations and our data may occasionally lag. Always check the official label on the product you buy, and email us if you spot a discrepancy.
Affiliate links
Some product pages include affiliate links to external retailers (Chewy, Zooplus, Amazon, and others). When you click a link and purchase, we may receive a small commission. This commission never influences our scoring. Affiliate relationships are fully disclosed on each product page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to scrape data at scale, reverse-engineer the scoring algorithm for commercial resale, spam, harass, or impersonate other users, or introduce malware. Violation may result in account termination and, where relevant, legal action.
Intellectual property
The PetFoodRate name, logo, methodology, ingredient database, product analyses, and editorial content are owned by PetFoodRate or licensed to it. You may quote short excerpts with a link back, but you may not republish pages or tables in full without permission.
Liability
We try to keep the site useful and reliable but we provide it 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, except where your statutory consumer rights allow you to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes are highlighted for at least 30 days.
