What is an affiliate link?

When you click a "View on Zooplus" button from PetFoodRate, you reach the partner store through a tracked link. If you buy in the following days, the store pays PetFoodRate a small commission (typically 3 to 8 % of the basket). You pay the exact same price as visiting directly. No surcharge.

Who are our partners?

As of 22 April 2026:

• Zooplus FR · affiliate partner validated via the Awin network. Large catalogue (dog, cat, small pets, birds).
• Pending partners: Maxi Zoo FR, Just Russel FR, Edgard & Cooper.

Only relevant products stocked by our partners show a "View on" button. Other pages remain purely informational.

Does affiliation influence ratings?

No. A to E scores are computed by our public methodology (analysed composition, sub-scores for proteins, nutrition, undesirables, transparency, species adaptability). No brand can "buy" a better grade. No affiliate partner has access to our rubrics before publication. Grades are never modified after a partnership is accepted.

How to spot an affiliate link?

Every sponsored CTA is flagged: "Affiliate partner" badge, distinct green button, explicit affiliation mention. Links go through our /go/{product-id} redirect so we can measure clicks on our side. Links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" per Google guidelines.

Your rights as a user

• You can use PetFoodRate without ever clicking an affiliate link. All grades and analyses stay accessible.
• You can withdraw your consent for analytics cookies via the cookie banner (footer).
• Affiliate click data contains no personally identifiable information. We store: product id, partner, referrer, country, date.
