Community guidelines

These rules keep PetFoodRate contributions useful, lawful, and safe for everyone.

Last updated: 3 August 2026

What you can contribute

You may submit accurate product reviews, label corrections, barcode information, and product photos that help people understand pet food. Contributions must stay relevant to the product and be written respectfully.

Content that is not allowed

Do not submit harassment, hate, threats, sexual or violent content, spam, scams, illegal material, dangerous advice, impersonation, or personal data without permission. Do not upload content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, or any other right.

Product photo rights

Upload only a photo you took yourself or are authorised to share. Avoid faces, addresses, receipts, contact details, and unrelated surroundings. By submitting a photo, you grant PetFoodRate a non-exclusive licence to host, review, crop, resize, moderate, and display it only to operate and improve the service.

Review before publication

Community contributions are moderated before public display. PetFoodRate may reject, edit for safety or formatting, hide, or remove content that breaks these rules, the terms of use, or applicable law. Repeated or serious abuse may lead to the removal of the pseudonymous community identity.

Report and block

Every public contribution has an action menu in the app. Use it to report objectionable content or block its author. Blocking hides that author’s public contributions on your device. Reports are reviewed and may result in content removal or other protective action.

Delete your data

In the app, open My Animals, then Account and privacy, and choose Delete my account and all my data. This removes the pseudonymous community identity, directly linked personal records, unreferenced temporary photos, and local PetFoodRate data. Sealed product evidence and sanitised images may remain after dissociation from the author under the contribution terms accepted before upload. You may also contact support for help.

Contact and urgent moderation

For an urgent moderation issue, privacy concern, or appeal, email support@petfoodrate.com with the product name, a description of the content, and any useful context. We generally reply within two business days and prioritise credible safety threats.
